charges as it is not our intention to profit from shipping charges.
With that in mind, you are exempt from paying the Hawai’i state
sales tax, which saves you another four point something percent,
unless you are a resident of the Aloha State, that is.

Pele Plantations, or we will gladly replace the product(s) free
of charge or refund your money 100%. No questions asked, and with

The information you submit when ordering is between you and Pele
Plantations ONLY, and will NOT be sold, traded, given away or
revealed in any way to any other person or company outside of
Pele Plantations.

Pele Plantations proudly uses the award winning Virtual Cart secure
shopping cart system. Via the Virtual Cart ordering system all
online transactions are encrypted.
When
you Check Out, you'll have the chance to select your desired shipper
- FedEx, or USPS. We will package your order in boxes supplied
by FedEx and USPS, UNLESS it is a gift. Gift items will be nested
in a perfectly sized box with tissue, crinkle straw, and your
personalized message card with a ribbon.

FEDEX
• Fed Ex shipments will arrive a guaranteed two business days
from the date your order leaves the Big Island, while your coffee
is still fresh.
• You'll receive Specialty Coffee Association of America FedEx
discounted GROUP rates, often lower than USPS Priority Mail, especially
heavy shipments.
• INSURANCE - automatically included (up to $50.00) and detailed
tracking information.
• Orders 6 lbs. or less will be packed into regular FedEx boxes.
Larger orders will be packed into plain corrugated boxes.
• If we ship to your business address (no home based businesses
are allowed), we will deduct $1.00 from the FedEx rate.
• FedEx cannot be used for shipments to PO boxes, APO/FPO, Rural
Route boxes, Alaska and Puerto Rico, which must ship via the US
Postal Service.
• If you live in a remote area we will add a $ 2.00 FedEx delivery
area surcharge.

PRIORITY FLAT RATE
• For all USPS orders, we will make sure you get the lowest rate
possible.
• 1 lb.orders will ship USPS Priority which costs less than the
Flat Rate charge.
• 2 - 6 lb. orders, will ship in a Flat Rate Box at $8.95, assuming
the products will fit.
• Used for USPS orders that fit into a USPS Flat Rate box. Typically
we can fit up to 6 lbs of coffee, nuts, and candies in a Flat
Rate box.
• Unfortunately, your lower FLAT RATE will NOT SHOW on our website
checkout calculations, but it will show on your invoice, and be
taken into account for your credit card charge.
• Priority Mail has no guaranteed delivery time, but generally
arrives within 3 to 10 days of shipment from the Big Island.
• DELIVERY CONFIRMATION is automatically included, but the package
cannot be tracked.
• INSURANCE is not included unless you OPT for UPSP/ with Insurance
on Check Out. Even then, claims for missing shipments cannot be
filed for 30 days after the shipment.

a Flat Rate box, or you select USPS for a gift shipment.

EXPRESS MAIL
• From the middle of the Pacific, Express Mail is not express;
instead, packages will be delivered the 2nd day (including Sundays
in some areas) after they leave the Big Island, not the next day.
Nevertheless, it is faster than USPS Priority.
• If you want Express Mail, please include your request in the
Special Instructions/ comment box during Check Out, or call us.
The additional charges will be added to your order.
SHIPPING
RATES
Our website shipping rates are programmed only up to 12 pounds.
Rate quotes for over 12 pounds will be emailed to you if your
order exceeds 12 pounds of our products. For international orders,

for a rate quote. Taxes & applicable duties or tariffs are paid
by recipient.

WE CAN HELP, free of charge. To simulate a private label, we developed
our Kilauea Kona Coffee Co. label for use on wholesale bags, rather
than our normal Pele Plantations label. All contact information
(to us) has been scrubbed from the Kilauea label, but not colorful
graphics of Madam Pele. Instead we prepare a custom white Avery
label, with your contact information, to be pasted in the insert
box on each bag of coffee. Here we print your contact information
- store/ web site name, address, phone, web site, whatever you
